UFO McDonald's in Roswell

Aden and I went to the UFO McDonald’s in Roswell, New Mexico.

It was still, fundamentally, just a McDonald’s. But the building made it worth the stop. It had a huge dining area and play place built in the rough shape of a UFO, which is exactly the sort of thing Roswell should be doing with fast food architecture.

It was interesting to see, though honestly it would have been more fun if they had leaned all the way into the alien theme. A green Big Mac, chicken nuggets with alien sauce, some weird space fries, something like that.

Still, it was a fun little Roswell stop with Aden: ordinary food, strange building, missed opportunity for extraterrestrial condiments.

From the outside, the building really does sell the bit. It is still a McDonald’s, but at least this shot shows the UFO shape doing the heavy lifting.
