On Top of the World

Nothing quite feels like being on top of the world.

After a quick tram ride, we got to look out over the whole area and the valley below. It was one of those views that makes everything feel bigger for a minute. The city, the mountains, the sky, and all that open space were spread out in front of us.

Aden really enjoyed how windy it was up there. That became part of the memory too, not just the view, but the feeling of standing in all that air after being carried up the mountain.

I do not think either of us was completely ready for the ride up, though. The tram made the destination easy, but it still had that little edge to it. By the time we were at the top, the ride itself felt like part of the adventure.
