A Night in a Repurposed Nuclear Silo

This was one of the more interesting Harvest Hosts stays we have had. It was an abandoned nuclear missile silo that had been repurposed into an Airbnb, with a little bit of a museum quality to it.
It was fascinating to see how the silo was being used now, but even more interesting to think about how massive it must have been when it was built for its original purpose. The whole place felt like a time capsule, part unusual overnight stop and part reminder of a much stranger chapter of history.
A very fun stopover, and definitely one we will remember.
