Quiet Desert at Four Corners

We stayed out in the desert near Four Corners, right by the Utah border, and it was one of the first times the Arizona desert really felt real to us.
It was dry in a way that stood out immediately. The land felt open, quiet, and stripped down to the basics. There was not much noise or movement, which made the whole place feel calm instead of empty.
That stop was interesting because it was so different from the greener, busier places we had stayed before. It was not trying to be exciting. It was just quiet, wide, dry, and relaxing.
For a road trip memory, that mattered. It felt like we had crossed into a different kind of landscape and were finally spending real time in it, not just driving past it.
