Wildlife at the Door

One of the best things about Bandera was the wildlife.

This was taken just outside our door, which is exactly the kind of detail that made the place feel special. You did not have to go looking for a big scenic overlook or plan a whole outing. Sometimes the memorable part was simply stepping outside and seeing animals nearby.

Bandera had that calm, quiet feeling that made it easy to relax. The wildlife was part of it, but so was the pace of the place. It felt slower in a good way, like the kind of spot where you could sit for a while and not need much else to happen.

That is a different kind of travel memory. Not a museum, not a ride, not a big destination. Just a peaceful moment right outside the door.
