Back on the Road Again

I know this photo does not look like much, but I was so happy to be on the road again after being stuck dealing with the slide issues.

After that kind of delay, a plain stretch of road can feel like a reset. It meant we were moving again, the trip was back in motion, and the RV was finally doing what it was supposed to do.

This drive was also so much better than the one from Pecos to Carlsbad. That road had felt endless and flat in the worst way. This one at least had a slight hill, some gentle turns, and enough shape to make the miles feel lighter.

Not every travel memory needs a landmark. Sometimes the story is just the relief of seeing the road open up again.
